On the occasion of World Food Day, Human Rights Alliance organised a program which was successfully conducted in Banke. As the slogan, “ Better Production, Better Nutrition, a Better Environment and a Better Life” this program was organised to educate people about the importance of food for better production, better nutrition and better environment and to assure the right to food to every human being. Food is the basic need and the right of each and every human being and it should be accessible to everyone. We have to conserve and stand for the right to food. Agriculture Educational Center Banke, Human Right Alliance, Consumer Rights Nepal, Fian Nepal, Khad Adhikar Sanjal, INSEC, National Human Rights Aayog has supported the right to food as the flood victims, disasters victims are not getting proper food. People are going through starvation as well. This program is also organised to conserve and provide the food to the victims. In this program, the retention letter was presented by the chairman of Human Rights Alliance, Banke and Central member of Consumer Rights Advocate Mr. Basant Gautam for the consumer and food rights. Also the letter was presented by the chief of Agricultural Educational Center Mr. Sakhil Ahamad Kha and the chief of Fian Nepal Mr. Suresh Kumar Gautam on the same issue. Due to the flooding in Rapti Sonari the farmer has lost the location of his land and there has been a huge loss in manufacture of food. Furthermore, the program was attended by the central member of Human Right Alliance Mr. Paibhat Kumar Thakuri, Banke District Secretary Member Mr. Ramsuhaban Sonkar, and Koshadhakshya Shovana Mishra.
